Business in Open Source, Vaasa, October 6th

When rock stars publish a new record, they go on a tour and have concerts around the world. Publishing a book is kind of the same. You get invited to talk in various Open Source events. This Friday (October 6th) I'll be in Vaasa for the EU sponsored Business In Open Source seminar.

I've been speaking in quite a few places after publishing the Finnish book. What a coincidence then that after publishing the English book I got invited to an international seminar and have to speak in English :-) The organizer Rainer Lytz gave me an interesting topic too: Doing business with nerds. I'll basically talk about how great we nerds are!

Others speaking will be representatives for various Open Source consortiums around Europe, including Mikko Puhakka and Petri Räsänen from the Finnish Centre of Open Source Software.

Unfortunately I won't be there on Thursday for all the interesting Asterisk and VoIP stuff, as I will still be traveling in another business matter in France. I'll fly in straight to Vaasa on a night flight late on Thursday.

France is a nice place actually, hope I could be here more often!
Last time I was here I used the opportunity to actually buy a bottle of Beaujolais wine, as I have never tasted it before.

If you are in Vaasa on Friday, I'll look forward to seeing you!
